Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and quotes in an effective, timely manner
- Work with Sales Management to learn product lines, sales strategy, and cultivate customer relationships
- Review customer specifications and select material that complies with request
- Approve Mill Test Reports tied to orders and customer specifications
- Obtain quotes from vendors for services
- Negotiate best prices and deliveries from vendors
- Plan staggered shipments
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Track and troubleshoot orders
- Assist with credit card or COD payments if applicable
- Process and document returned material as required
- Maintain preservation of records
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or assisting sales
- Minimum 1 year of experience reading and understanding Mill Test Reports and Customer Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High level communication skills
- High level computer and document processing skills
- Excellent critical thinking ability
- Able to plan, prioritize, and multi task

Primary Duties
- Respond to customer inquiries and quotes in an effective, timely manner.
- Work with Sales Management to learn product lines, sales strategy, and cultivating customer relationships.
- Review customer specifications and select the material that complies with request.
- Approve Mill Test Reports tied to orders and customer specifications.
- Obtain quotes from vendors for services.
- Negotiate best prices and deliveries from vendors.
- Work to improve vendor relations and response times.
- Plan staggered shipments.
- Assist management and Quality control with both customer and material Nonconformances.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
- Track and troubleshoot orders.
- Add and review freight/rush charges.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or assisting sales.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with reading and understanding Mill Test reports and Customer Specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High level communication skills.
- High level computer and document processing skills.
- Excellent critical thinking ability.
- Able to plan, prioritize, and multi task.
