Quality Control Inspector (Structural & Piping)

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Perform inspections according to established inspection and test plans and applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Report inspection findings through the relevant Mariner Module and raise punch lists when applicable.
• Coordinate with classification societies, third-party inspection agencies, clients, and other trades to ensure adherence to standards.
• Perform in-process inspections according to the established inspection program.
• Participate in work identification activities as required.
• Generate timely and accurate inspection reports under QC reporting rules.
• Propose non-conformance reports for identified inspection findings.
• Report daily quality issues to the QC supervisor and engineer.
• Maintain housekeeping at the job location.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• At least three years of experience in a similar role is essential.
• A CSWIP 3.1 Inspector or AWS CWI qualification is mandatory.
• Mechanical, naval architecture, or marine engineering background is preferred.
• Ship repair, new building, or oil and gas experience is advantageous.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor and ASNT Level II in NDT credentials are highly desirable.
