Job overview
The role is for a Quality Control Engineer with around five years of experience in industrial automation or special purpose machine manufacturing.
The engineer ensures machines, fabricated components, assemblies, electrical panels, and documentation meet approved specifications before dispatch and during installation.
Machine and component inspection
- Inspect complete machines during assembly and before dispatch, including dimensions, alignment, workmanship, drawings, BOMs, TDS, and customer specifications.
- Inspect fabricated and machined components, welding, dimensions, hole positions, surface finish, alignment, and assembly.
- Verify purchased components and finishing work, including painting, powder coating, and plating.
Electrical and PLC quality
- Verify panel wiring, component selection, terminal identification, labeling, earthing, safety circuits, sensors, actuators, motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and communications wiring.
- Verify PLC and HMI functionality against the approved sequence and TDS, and ensure the final PLC program and backup are available before dispatch.
