Role Overview
A client of Quik Hire Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer on a contract basis.
The role ensures software products meet defined quality standards through systematic testing and validation.
The engineer will collaborate with development teams to identify defects and verify fixes across platforms.
Compensation
- The payout is $25 to $60 per hour.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and document test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Identify, report, and track software defects using tracking systems to ensure resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine product requirements.
- Automate test cases to improve regression testing efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software component testability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with manual and automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Proficiency in writing test cases and executing test plans.
- Knowledge of bug tracking systems such as Jira or similar tools.
- Familiarity with API and UI testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose software issues and verify fixes.
