Job Summary

Manage a portfolio of existing and potential corporate customers to meet assigned financial targets.

Develop and profitably manage business banking relationships across the full range of applicable bank products and services.

Support credit, deposit, international transaction, and specialized service needs for corporate customers.

Financial and Relationship Responsibilities

  • Support corporate banking strategies and plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets.
  • Develop business ideas, monitor KPIs, and promote cost efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage customer portfolios in compliance with credit policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Build relationships with customers, internal functions, and related units.
  • Support ARM work direction, training, and relevant relationship-management activities.
  • Originate business and provide credit recommendations for selected local and regional corporations.

Credit and Account Management

  • Prepare comprehensive credit proposals for new and prospective customers.
  • Prepare credit reviews for existing portfolios at least one month before facility expiry.
  • Conduct periodic customer calls to understand ongoing business and encourage reliance on QNB.
  • Manage account utilization and keep relationships within approved boundaries.
  • Identify and report negative events and early warning signals on potentially problematic accounts.
  • Obtain requisite facility and account documentation and keep customer files current.

Service and Coordination

  • Resolve customer product and service queries and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate with departments and counterparts to resolve relationship issues and support timely product delivery.
  • Provide timely information on credit and compliance issues to senior management and relevant functions.
  • Maintain activities under service-level agreements to improve turnaround times.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Banking, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Relevant relationship-management experience built on a sound credit background and substantial additional banking experience.
  • Good knowledge of the country’s banking and commercial environment.

Knowledge and Capabilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including report writing.
  • Arabic, French, or another applicable local language is highly desirable.
  • Ability to solve problems and take a hands-on role to meet financial targets.
  • Computer literacy and ability to prepare correspondence and reports using standard bank applications.
  • Sound knowledge of QNB credit policies, procedures, and standards.

Risk and Confidentiality

Comply with AML, CTF, anti-bribery, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, conduct risk, and other internal requirements.

Maintain appropriate knowledge and competence through mandatory training and seminars.

Protect commercially sensitive customer and bank information and maintain strict confidentiality.

Perform other related duties requested by management.
