- Prepare documentation and technical specifications for new applications
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in support, development, and unit testing
- Liaise with Manager – Core Banking Applications for prompt support and rectification of problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree
- At least 4 years’ experience in financial services with a specialization in web or mobile application development
- Strong development experience on various Core Banking Applications including IBM System i
- Training courses and certification in related systems technology

Job Summary
- The incumbent is primarily responsible for the support and maintenance of the organization’s repository of software applications through best practices.
- Support application and development team on issues related to development and deployment of critical information and Banking software systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide effective solutions to user requirements.
- Take part in the overall IT strategy execution.
- Assist in implementing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in support, development, and unit testing.
- Liaise with developers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
- Liaise with Manager – Core Banking Applications for prompt support and rectification of problems.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Engage in the development and deployment of new applications, system software, and enhancements.
- Analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improvement.
- Make recommendations on software services in support of development efforts.
- Ensure new software integration meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Prepare documentation and technical specifications of new applications.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- At least 4 years’ experience in financial services with a specialization in web or mobile application development.
- Core banking application experience.
- Strong development experience on various Core Banking Applications including IBM System i.
- Training courses and certification in related systems technology.
