Overview
We are looking for an experienced **QHSE Manager** to join the growing team at Seagull Maritime Group.
This role will take **operational responsibility of the company’s Quality and Occupational Health & Safety management systems**, ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of **ISO 9001** and **ISO 45001** processes across the organisation.
The position works closely with the **Compliance Director**, who maintains strategic oversight, while the QHSE Manager ensures that systems, audits, and safety processes are effectively implemented across the group.

Management Systems Ownership
- Maintaining policies, procedures and documentation
- Ensuring document control processes function effectively
- Coordinating updates to procedures and operational guidance
- Ensuring management system documentation remains audit-ready
Internal Audits Programme Management
- Audit scheduling
- Conducting audits across departments
- Writing audit reports
- Tracking corrective actions
- Verifying closure of audit findings
- The QHSE Manager will be the primary internal auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 systems.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management
- Own the organisation’s corrective action system, including:
- Managing non-conformance reports
- Tracking corrective actions
- Supporting root cause investigations
- Monitoring closure of actions
- Reporting trends and systemic issues
Health & Safety Oversight
- Manage the day-to-day occupational health and safety programme including:
- Maintaining the risk register
- Ensuring risk assessments remain current
- Supporting operational safety planning
- Managing incident and near-miss reporting
- Leading incident investigations where required
- Monitoring safety performance indicators
Compliance Administration
- Maintain the operational compliance infrastructure including:
- Legal registers
- External standards register
- Training records
- Risk registers
- Compliance trackers
- Audit schedules
Operational Support
- Support operational teams by providing:
- Risk assessment guidance
- Safety advice
- Method statement review
- Incident investigation support
- Continuous improvement recommendations
Audit & Certification Support
- Support external audits and certification processes including:
- Preparing audit documentation
- Coordinating audit schedules
- Managing responses to audit findings
- Supporting surveillance and recertification audits
- Attend certification audits to support the Group Compliance Director
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and maintain QHSE reporting including:
- Management system performance reports
- Audit summaries
- Incident statistics
- Corrective action tracking
- KPI monitoring
- These reports will support management review and strategic decision-making.
Essential
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Systems
- Experience conducting internal audits
- Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage compliance processes
