Ensure project work meets contractual, code, and specification requirements through inspection, testing, and non-conformance management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Supervise QC inspectors across piping, civil, and mechanical disciplines.
- Ensure inspections, tests, and hold points follow approved ITPs and specifications.
- Review inspection reports, NDE reports, and material certificates.
- Manage NCRs, including root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Coordinate third-party, client, and certification inspections.
- Control inspection and test equipment calibration.
- Conduct internal quality audits and site quality walkdowns.
- Compile quality dossiers for project handover and provide quality reporting to project management.
- Liaise with client and consultant QA/QC representatives and support site-team training.
Experience and education
- More than 10 years of quality control or quality assurance experience on EPC or industrial construction projects.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Welding Inspector or equivalent QC certification is preferred.
Required technical skills
- Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.
- Welding and NDE standards, including ASME and API standards.
- Piping and civil inspection techniques.
- Inspection and Test Plan development.
- NCR and corrective-action management.
- Reading technical drawings and specifications.
