Responsibilities
- Execute rigorous mechanical inspections on incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct non destructive testing (NDT) such as radiography, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle testing to identify subsurface defects
- Perform dimensional checks using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to verify tolerances
- Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and weld quality through visual and non destructive examination
- Document all inspection findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions meticulously in detailed reports
- Collaborate closely with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement preventative measures
