Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical installation works for compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, Engineering Standards, and applicable international codes.
- Review and witness Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Verify installation of cable trays, conduits, cable routing, cable pulling, cable terminations, cable glands, and electrical equipment.
- Inspect installation of transformers, switchgears, motor control centers (MCCs), distribution boards, lighting systems, grounding and lightning protection systems.
- Witness electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance (IR), continuity, earth resistance, high potential (Hi Pot), functional, and loop testing.
- Verify calibration certificates for electrical testing and measuring equipment.
- Ensure electrical materials and equipment comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
- Monitor contractor workmanship and identify non conformities, issuing observations or Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
- Verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions before acceptance of completed work.
- Coordinate inspections with construction teams, QA/QC engineers, commissioning engineers, and ADNOC representatives.
- Review as built documentation, test reports, inspection records, and quality dossiers.
- Participate in pre commissioning, commissioning, and punch list inspections completion activities.
