Responsibilities
- Develop, review, approve, and implement NDT procedures, techniques, and inspection methodologies in accordance with project specifications and applicable international standards
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to NDT Level I and Level II personnel and support their qualification and competency development
- Establish and maintain NDT quality systems, inspection plans, and technical documentation
- Review and interpret NDT examination results, ensuring compliance with applicable acceptance criteria
- Provide technical support for conventional and advanced NDT methods including RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, MT, PT, VT, ECT, PMI, and Hardness Testing
- Support welding quality control activities by reviewing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ)
- Investigate inspection anomalies, evaluate non conformities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, and project specifications to ensure appropriate NDT requirements are incorporated
- Conduct technical audits of NDT operations, subcontractors, and inspection personnel
- Verify calibration, maintenance, and performance of NDT equipment and ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Prepare and review technical reports, inspection summaries, and project quality documentation
- Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, welding engineers, integrity engineers, clients, and third party inspection agencies
Requirements
- NDT Level 3 certification
- Experience in developing and implementing NDT procedures
- Knowledge of international NDT standards
- Experience with conventional and advanced NDT methods
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to NDT personnel
- Experience in welding quality control and reviewing WPS, PQR, WPQ
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
