Purpose Statement
The QA Technician assures food safety through HACCP compliance monitoring, corrective actions, and reporting deviations to the QA Manager.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Document test results, communicate deviations, and follow up on product testing deviations and trends.
- Conduct product and process capability studies, sampling, line monitoring, audits, laboratory testing, and calibrations.
- Coordinate laboratory, raw material, finished product, and audit analytical data and reports for process improvements.
- Audit laboratory methods and protocols for compliance with standard operating procedures and quality agreements.
- Review deviations, investigations, corrective and preventive actions, microbiological testing, and sanitation inspection reports.
- Place ingredients and finished goods on hold, coordinate disposition, and investigate root causes of product defects.
- Maintain quality training, a clean work area, laboratory supplies, and written compliance reports.
- Use PLM, QDMS, SAP, and Minitab to support business processes.
- Apply understanding of acidified foods and federal guidelines.
