Overview
The QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical manages quality assurance and control for all mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting) on UAE villa and building construction projects.
The role ensures all installations conform to approved submittals, specifications, and UAE authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for mechanical works including HVAC installation, ductwork, piping, and sanitary systems.
- Perform and document quality inspections at all stages of mechanical installation.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), follow up corrective actions, and verify close-out.
- Review material deliveries against approved submittals and specifications.
- Coordinate pre-inspection hold points and witness testing with consultants and client representatives.
- Review method statements and risk assessments for mechanical works.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QAQC reports for the mechanical discipline.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defence (fire fighting), DM, SEWA, and DEWA requirements for mechanical systems.
