BAC, a General Contractor in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a dedicated QA/QC Engineer to safeguard the quality and compliance of our major construction projects from the ground up.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be the key person ensuring our work meets the highest standards and satisfies all UAE authority regulations (DMT, ADM, Civil Defence).
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Quality System: Develop & implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and ensure ISO 9001:2015 & UAE authority compliance (DMT, ADM, Civil Defence).
- Lead Site Quality: Conduct inspections across all work fronts (Civil, MEP, Finishing), manage materials approval (MAR), and handle non-conformities (NCR/CAR).
- Drive Quality Processes: Oversee testing (FAT/SAT), maintain precise documentation using platforms like Aconex/MePS, and report directly to project management.
- Coordinate & Guide: Be the main quality point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities, while guiding junior staff and subcontractors.
Education And Specialization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering from a recognized university.
- Equivalency Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education – mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of total professional experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE within the construction or engineering sector.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing QA/QC systems, conducting multidisciplinary inspections, managing non-conformance processes, and participating in FAT/SAT.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of UAE construction codes, authority regulations (DMT, ADM, Civil Defence, Estidama), and ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience with electronic document control platforms (e.g., Aconex, MePS, ProjectWise).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher); Arabic is an advantage.
