The QA/QC Engineer oversees interior fit-out and finishing operations.
The role ensures architectural finishes, joinery, flooring, painting, and MEP integrations meet project specifications, approved mock-ups, and industry standards.
Quality Assurance and Planning
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.
- Prepare and manage Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, and structural and architectural checklists.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and bills of quantities against client requirements and fit-out standards.
Inspections and Material Control
- Inspect incoming timber, marble, tile, sanitary ware, and other materials against approved Material Inspection Requests.
- Ensure inspected materials are stored properly.
- Conduct routine factory inspections during joinery manufacturing and verify finished products before site dispatch.
- Carry out daily site inspections to verify workmanship against approved shop drawings and mock-ups.
Compliance and Non-Conformance
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests to the consultant or client and coordinate site inspections.
- Identify deficiencies, deviations, and poor workmanship and issue Non-Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports.
- Oversee corrective and preventive actions so root causes are addressed and closed efficiently.
Handover and Snagging
- Lead pre-handover and de-snagging processes to identify and rectify minor defects before final client delivery.
- Compile final quality documentation, as-built drawing verifications, and Operation and Maintenance manuals for final handover.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design.
- 5 to 10 years of proven QA/QC experience in the high-end interior fit-out sector.
- Deep understanding of joinery, gypsum works, painting, flooring, and MEP fixture integration.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and regional building codes.
