QA Engineer – Salesforce & Enterprise Applications

Role Overview

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

• Analyze user stories, business requirements, solution designs, and acceptance criteria from a QA perspective.
• Identify requirement gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and quality risks, and clarify expected behavior with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution documentation.
• Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and negative testing for Salesforce and related enterprise systems.

Salesforce and Automation Testing

• Test Salesforce business processes, Flows, validation rules, objects, fields, permissions, profiles, record types, and other configurations.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Copado Robotic Testing.
• Improve automation coverage, regression coverage, and overall testing effectiveness.
• Test integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications, including APIs, middleware, scheduled processes, and inbound or outbound interfaces.

Data and Defect Management

• Perform data migration and data validation testing covering field mapping, record counts, completeness, accuracy, transformation, synchronization, and exception handling.
• Document and track defects with reproduction steps, severity, supporting evidence, and business impact.
• Retest fixes and perform appropriate regression testing.

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Provide QA estimates, status updates, and quality risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve QA processes, test automation, regression coverage, defect prevention, and software quality.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
• At least 3 years of experience testing Salesforce platform applications on Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
• At least 2 years of experience with Salesforce, Copado, or related QA/test automation certifications.
• At least 2 years of experience with functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and negative testing.
• At least 2 years of experience with test automation, preferably Copado Robotic Testing or similar enterprise tools.
• At least 2 years of experience with data migration, data conversion, or large-scale data validation testing.
• At least 2 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience testing REST or SOAP APIs and integration platforms is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with Jira, Salesforce DevOps processes, and version-control practices is preferred.
• Salesforce certifications and professional certifications such as ISTQB, ASTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or CQSE are preferred.

Work Schedule

• The role follows a second-shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST in the local time zone.
• Earlier, later, or additional hours may occasionally be required with reasonable notice when possible.
