PV Skid Design Engineer – Mechanical

Role Overview

Design Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and equipment layout for PV skids integrating power, control, auxiliary, communications, and structural elements.
• Develop skid layouts, general arrangement drawings, mounting details, fabrication drawings, structural support details, and bills of material.
• Define equipment placement and interfaces for access, serviceability, ventilation, transport, lifting, and installation.
• Coordinate mechanical integration with electrical, controls, manufacturing, civil, sourcing, and field installation teams.
• Support base frame, mounting structure, enclosure, cable entry, and cable or bus transition design.

Documentation and Lifecycle Support

• Maintain mechanical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide mechanical content for installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.
• Support prototype reviews, fabrication feedback, field issue resolution, and design improvements.
