About the Role
ALPLA Group seeks a Purchasing & Planning Supervisor to manage supplier records, purchasing databases, and production planning. The role requires 5-8 years of purchasing experience, preferably in plastic/packaging, and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintain supplier records and purchasing database up to date
- Maintain tracking records of all POs and update OMs regularly
- Highlight risks of price increase or material shortage
- Update price matrix on monthly basis
- Develop payment terms with suppliers and reduce cash purchase
- Lead procurement group and negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
- Report department KPIs and analyze deviations from target
- Report supplier evaluation and keep records
- Responsible for production planning including sampling and maintenance activities
- Optimize production and equipment scheduling to reduce changeovers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or similar in related field
- 5 8 years working experience in purchasing
- 1 3 years of supply chain position experience, and/or manufacturing environment
- Plastic and packaging & spare parts experience
- Experience in foreign and local purchasing processes
- Experience in Saudi Arabia
- Previous position as a supervisor or manager
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to use specific logistics/warehouse systems, such as SAP, Oracle applications (MRP and ERP modules)

What You Will Enjoy Doing
- Maintain Suppliers records up to date.
- Maintain purchasing data base up to date.
- Maintain tracking records of all POs and update OMs in regular basis.
- Maintain proper system to track goods & services POs to be delivered on time.
- Highlight the risk of price increase in any material.
- Highlight the risk of shortage in any material due to supplier issues.
- Update the price matrix on monthly basis.
- Make sure to maintain 3 suppliers for every item impacting the customer supply.
- Develop payment terms with suppliers and reduce the cash purchase.
- Improve the response time to buy the goods and services requested by the functional departments and approved by OMs.
- Reduce the gap between the PSR / PO/ RIR process.
- Lead the procurement group in all phases
What makes you great
- Bachelor's degree or similar in related field or equivalent
- 5 8 years working experience in purchasing.
- 1 to 3 years of Supply chain position experience, and/or manufacturing environment
- Plastic and packaging & spare parts experience.
- Experience in foreign and local purchasing processes.
- Experience in Saudis Arabia.
- Experience in packaging or similar
- Previous position as a supervisor or manager
- Excellent negotiating skills
- High ethical and moral standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and behave in a professional manner
- Ability to communicate effectively
