YOUR ROLE
- As a Purchasing Officer at Bunzl, you’ll help ensure the right products are available at the right time, maintaining strong inventory availability while balancing stock investment, cost and customer demand.
- Working closely with suppliers, sales, customer service and operations teams, you’ll manage purchasing activity, monitor stock performance and help resolve supply issues before they impact our customers.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage purchase orders, supplier deliveries and stock requirements to maintain strong product availability
- Monitor inventory levels, stock turnover, backorders and slow-moving or obsolete stock
- Analyse purchasing spend, stock performance and supply trends to identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, supplier and purchasing information within ERP systems
- Expedite overdue purchase orders and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve supply issues
- Support supplier returns, credits, cost changes and new product or supplier setup
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders
- Assist with stocktakes, reporting and other purchasing and inventory activities as required
