Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the construction or contracting industry and will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements
- Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain and develop relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site and warehouse teams
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and project budgets
- Track orders and resolve any supply issues or delays
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Coordinate with various departments to understand purchasing needs
Reporting Line
The Purchasing Officer will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and support the requirements of all relevant departments.
Requirements
- Minimum **8 years of experience** in procurement or purchasing
- Prior experience in a **construction or contracting company is a strong advantage**
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of local suppliers and market conditions in the UAE
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams
