Responsibilities
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing the procurement activities (Sourcing and Purchasing Operations) at the plant. Manage a team of buyers to drive procurement excellence and drive productivity and working capital initiative across LNG Supply base. Managed Site Team buyers and report on their Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly KPI’s. Oversee Buyers buying activities for the site and support as needed to cover gaps
- Maintain Bi-weekly supplier committee meetings. Develop continuous leadership connect at plant leadership level – project management, ISC, production, quality, engineering and finance.
- Work closely with HON Global Category Sourcing Team and support activities where applicable for alternate suppliers’ selection, supplier strategies and new supplier qualification, and supply base expansion to support LNG business growth
- Improve procurement operations with alignment from Global Procurement Operations (PR to PO conversion activity, PO Ack, Invoice Resolution, Supplier on time to Delivery)
- Evaluate supplier risks and work with supplier and internal cross functional team on supplier’s risk mitigation plan
- Drive contract strategies with key strategic suppliers together with HON Global Category Sourcing Team. Lead negotiations for Key Strategic LNG Suppliers along with Global Category Purchasing Team alignment for Contracts, pricing, capacity, pay terms to achieve favorable outcome for the LNG business
- Process improvement and integration of HON procurement processes into the LNG business at plant
- Integrating the Honeywell UOP Supplier qualification model into LNG – supplier pre-qualification and audits and work closely with Global Category Sourcing Team on execution
- Lead and/or Support reduction in Sole Source Suppliers and Value Engineering activities
- Improve procurement operations with alignment from Global Procurement Operations
- Monthly reporting on Productivity (savings from Engineering to Order - ETO) and Operations KPI’s with alignment with Global Category Sourcing Team
- Work closely with other departments like Engineering, Finance, ISC, Production, Quality and logistics to align purchasing activities with overall business.
- Lead Steering Committee Meetings and highlight areas where need help from Global Category Sourcing Team and Purchasing project teams
- Grow Buyer skillset and performance
- Implement supplier score card system in alignment with Global Project Procurement
- Develop LNG PSL and AVL with Global Category Sourcing Team
- Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Leverage Procurement functional excellence to develop/ deploy tools and processes
- Lead Supplier delivery shortage escalation within Purchasing Leadership and Plant Leadership during different forums like T4-T5 (Plant Operational Tier escalation), Weekly Project Progress meetings with ISC etc.
- Coach and develop Site Buyers and provide support where we see roadblocks and involve appropriate cross functional leaders.
- Other Activities as a Site Leader:
- Weekly MOS on project progress with site buyers on day-to-day activities
- Weekly MOS on Procurement Ops KPI’s and Resolution – Site Purchasing Manager with Site Buyers
- Maintain RAIL with project teams on ongoing Heat Exchanger projects, project progress, procurement plan, supplier issues, expediting, strategy development –
- Lead Purchasing in Plant Project Update Status Meeting
- Weekly MOS for Procurement LNG meeting – Site Leader, LNG Purchasing Manager,
- Global Category Leader and UOP Project leader
- Regular Monthly Touch Point with Stakeholders from Production, Engineering, Quality and Projects

Qualifications
- YOU MUST HAVE
- 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically in machining/fabrication operations.
- 5 years’ experience in managing a team of Buyers (Strategic and Operational)
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools relevant to machining procurement.
- Expertise in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
- In-depth knowledge of machining processes, materials, and technologies, including CNC machining, tooling, and fabrication methods.
- Experience in evaluating machine suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Ability to analyze machining specifications and requirements to ensure optimal sourcing decisions.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to assess machining requirements and capabilities.
- Experience in conducting technical assessments of machining components to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
