Position Summary

  • The Purchase Executive will be responsible for executing and supporting both local and international procurement activities, ensuring the seamless sourcing of equipment, spare parts, and accessories required for Paramount's Qatar operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for kitchen, bakery, food service, and related equipment parts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors to ensure best pricing, quality, terms, and supply reliability.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and resolve issues related to pricing, quality, delivery lead time, and after sales service.
  • Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders (POs) for local and import procurement while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor PO acknowledgements, shipment schedules, lead times and update relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure all procurement paperwork (contracts, LC documentation, shipping documents, customs paperwork) is complete and compliant.
  • Coordinate import shipments, liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
  • Track and update inventory and expected delivery timelines in collaboration with logistics and warehouse teams.
  • Address delays, shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze pricing trends, maintain vendor price lists, and recommend cost saving and value optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly procurement reports, cost analysis, and supplier scorecards for management.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and inventory planning to align with project and operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 4 years of procurement experience; experience handling both local and import purchasing in equipment, industrial goods, or related sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of import procedures, customs clearance, Incoterms, freight forwarding and documentation.
  • Excellent communication (English verbal & written); Arabic language skills a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/Purchasing systems.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with proactive problem solving capability.
