Position Overview

Compensation

• Compensation is AED 12,000 per month as an all-inclusive package.

Show Operation

• Operate media servers, video playback, projection equipment, and visual systems during rehearsals and performances.
• Execute cues accurately and monitor playback for uninterrupted show operation.
• Coordinate with lighting, audio, automation, stage management, and show management.
• Participate in technical rehearsals, cue-to-cues, programming sessions, and production updates.

Media and Video Systems

• Operate and maintain WATCHOUT media servers and associated playback systems.
• Prepare media content, maintain show files and backups, and configure sequences, cue lists, timelines, and synchronization.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot playback issues during live performances.
• Operate, align, calibrate, and monitor projection and display systems.

Maintenance and Production Support

• Conduct pre-show inspections, operational checks, preventative maintenance, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot video, projection, networking, synchronization, and playback issues.
• Assist with installation, testing, upgrades, and strike of production video systems.
• Support rehearsals, events, media shoots, and other technical departments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years of professional experience in theatre, resident productions, concerts, live entertainment, or large-scale events.
• Proven WATCHOUT or comparable professional media-server operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of projection, video playback, synchronization, routing, switching, signal distribution, and display technologies.
• Understanding of codecs, media formats, playback optimization, show control, and networking for media and AV systems.
• Experience maintaining media-server hardware and reading technical drawings, signal-flow diagrams, and production documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills under live-show conditions.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, rehearsals, and special events.

Preferred Experience

• WATCHOUT experience in a resident theatrical production is preferred.
• Projection mapping, multi-projector systems, grandMA3, and lighting integration experience are preferred.
• AV-over-IP, Dante, NDI, media encoding, and content preparation experience are preferred.
• Experience in luxury entertainment, theatre, dance, cabaret, immersive productions, or international technical teams is preferred.
