Job Description Summary
Responsible for operation and maintenance of the electrical function and for interacting with government officials to obtain required electrical approvals.
The position is an individual contributor role with no GE direct reports.
Site Overview
The John F. Welch Technology Center in Bengaluru is a multidisciplinary research and engineering center supporting aviation patents, engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Electrical Operations and Maintenance
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot transformers, DGs, chillers, UPS, data center, BMS, FAS, PA, and other building operation systems.
- Operate and maintain the 66KV substation.
- Prepare maintenance schedules and regulate maintenance staff execution.
- Maintain inventory for critical electrical equipment.
- Train new staff and technicians.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for electrical equipment and systems.
- Maintain electrical tools, PPE, SOPs, equipment lists, and history cards.
