Overview
The Project Planner supports planning and scheduling activities across major projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting on project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and performance standards.
Your role
- Prepare project schedules using best planning practices.
- Load resource and budget data into schedules.
- Set up and maintain baseline schedules.
- Update schedules and provide guidance to junior planners.
- Extract Primavera data files and share with cost controllers.
- Issue schedules for internal and external use.
- Monitor and control progress against the schedule.
- Prepare and update resource requirement reports.
- Report on critical schedule issues and risks.
- Identify and explain variances between current schedule, plan, earned value, and forecasts.
- Ensure proper progress measurement is in place across all projects and portfolios.
- Present schedule updates to project leads and management.
- Advise on schedule risks that may impact project or portfolio objectives.
- Interface with project controls teams to maintain integrated cost-schedule systems.
About you
University Degree (e.g., B.Eng, B.Com, etc.).
