About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day to day execution of the project from commencement through completion and handover
- Coordinate all project departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, planning, commercial, quality, and HSE activities
- Develop and implement project execution strategies in accordance with the approved project programme
- Monitor project progress against schedule and implement corrective and recovery measures where necessary
- Ensure engineering deliverables are submitted, approved, and issued to construction in a timely manner
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure work proceeds in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Direct and support the Engineering Coordinator, Construction Manager, MEP Manager, and other functional managers
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of approved materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Lead regular project coordination, progress, and planning meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, the Consultant, and the Client
- Identify and resolve technical, operational, interface, and construction issues that may impact project delivery
- Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and subcontractor performance, implementing corrective actions as required
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, approved programme, quality standards, HSE requirements, and statutory regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 18 20 years of experience in major building construction projects
- Minimum 12 years with leading Tier 1 main contractors delivering large scale building developments
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on residential, commercial, mixed use, hospitality, healthcare, or institutional building projects
- Strong multidisciplinary management experience across engineering, procurement, construction, planning, logistics, commercial, quality, and HSE functions
- Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is mandatory
- MMUP (UPDA) registration in Qatar (preferred)
- PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage
- Experience delivering projects exceeding QAR 500 million is preferred
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and document management systems such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, or similar platforms

Company & Role Summary
- Our client is one of Qatar's leading Grade A construction companies with extensive experience in delivering major building and infrastructure developments across Qatar.
- The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and control of all day to day project activities to ensure successful delivery of a major building construction project.
- Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager leads the project delivery team and coordinates all functions to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day to day execution of the project from commencement through completion and handover.
- Coordinate all project departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, planning, commercial, quality, and HSE activities.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies in accordance with the approved project programme.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and implement corrective and recovery measures where necessary.
- Ensure engineering deliverables, including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, Technical Queries, mock ups, and method statements, are submitted, approved, and issued to construction in a timely manner.
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure work proceeds in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Direct and support the Engineering Coordinator, Construction Manager, MEP Manager, Site Logistics Manager, Planning Manager, QA/QC Manager, HSE Manager, Procurement Manager, Commercial Manager, and Contracts Manager.

Other Qualifications

- Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), QatarEnergy and relevant local authority requirements.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of building construction methodologies and project execution.
- Excellent understanding of engineering coordination, construction planning, procurement, project controls, and subcontract management.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, cost control, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and document management systems such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem solving skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Previous Qatar experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Qatar authorities, approval processes, and local regulations is highly advantageous.
- Exposure to major Qatar clients, consultants, and organizations such as QatarEnergy, Ashghal, Qatar Rail, and similar entities will be considered an advantage.
