Project planning and control
- Review, adjust, and validate the baseline schedule and budget.
- Track progress, costs, delays, work completed, productivity, and project performance.
- Assess resource needs and establish strategies to improve productivity and optimize cost.
Execution and quality
- Coordinate with section managers to ensure documents, resources, and prerequisites are available on time.
- Select suitable work methodologies and oversee execution on the project site.
- Review QA/QC reports and client or consultant observations.
- Ensure work complies with designs, specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
Cost and contracts
- Approve operations involving additional project cost and verify external providers' work, products, and services.
- Manage project contractual matters and negotiate variations and changes.
- Coordinate technical support for contractual breaches and protection of company interests.
Documentation and risk
- Oversee the timely production, submission, reception, and follow-up of project documents and reports.
- Ensure proper document control and systematic entry of data into the company information system.
- Identify project problems and risks and prepare mitigation plans.
Leadership and stakeholders
- Organize regular meetings, communicate targets, discuss problems, and review progress with project staff.
- Liaise with external parties and develop communication strategies for project relationships.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support employees and build strong team spirit.
- Manage individual performance, identify talent, and coordinate employee development.
Qualifications and experience
- Electrical Engineering degree with PMP Certification.
- MBA or master's degree is a plus.
- Membership of or accreditation from the national engineering body in the candidate's country.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience on site.
Skills and languages
- High-level leadership skills with concern for quality, time, and cost.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Written and spoken English, French, and Arabic language skills.
