We are seeking an experienced Insurance Project Lead to drive the delivery of a series of large, strategic transformation initiatives across the organization.
This role combines strong program governance and execution expertise with strategic portfolio oversight to manage a complex pipeline of initiatives, drive enterprise-wide prioritization, and ensure the realization of measurable business value.
The successful candidate will operate across all three business lines—Personal, Commercial, and Medical—partnering closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to manage demand intake, shape and scope initiatives, and deliver complex programs end-to-end within a structured Transformation Framework.
The role is accountable for aligning initiatives to strategic objectives, managing interdependencies, mitigating risk, and ensuring clear benefits realization.
This position reports directly to the Country Head of Transformation
Key Role Responsibilitiesprogram Delivery & Governance
- Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of large, strategic transformation projects, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives and measurable business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain robust program governance structures, ensuring clear decision-making, oversight, and alignment across business units and executive stakeholders.
- Drive integrated program planning, proactively managing interdependencies, critical paths, resource capacity, and sequencing across multiple concurrent projects.
- Accountable to ensure each program is aligned to the Liva Transformation Framework and adopt and report in line with the program delivery framework.
- Provide consolidated program reporting, including dashboards, KPIs, financial tracking, risks, issues, and benefits realization updates to Senior Leadership and the Country Head of Transformation.
- Ensure effective scope, schedule, cost, and quality control across all projects within the program, applying strong delivery discipline and risk management practices.
- Oversee the development and approval of business cases, including clear articulation of strategic rationale, benefits, investment requirements, and return on investment.
- Ensure all initiatives are delivered in accordance with the Transformation Framework, maintaining consistency in standards, controls, and governance.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to define program scope, shape solutions, and ensure requirements are clearly documented and aligned to intended outcomes.
- Oversee testing, implementation, and business readiness activities across the program to ensure smooth deployment, stakeholder adoption, and realization of defined benefits.
Knowledge And Skills And Competencies Required
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in the Insurance sector.
- Proven experience as a Project Lead, leading portfolios of interrelated projects within regulated insurance environments across Personal, Commercial, and Medical insurance lines.
- Professionally certified in program and/or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma or equivalent).
- Strong industry knowledge of underwriting, policy administration, claims, pricing, regulatory compliance, and the end-to-end insurance lifecycle, with particular expertise in medical/health insurance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale enterprise transformation and change programs, including core system modernisation, regulatory initiatives, and operating model redesign.
- Expertise in managing complex program backlogs and multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritisation discipline, and effective risk and dependency management.
- Advanced capability in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and structured benefits realisation across program lifecycles.
- Strong executive stakeholder engagement and governance leadership, overseeing requirements (BRDs), testing/UAT coordination, release control, and establishing scalable delivery frameworks in complex environments.
