Role Overview
Project Engineering Manager for Hitachi Rail's MRS1 Project Office in Bangalore, India.
The role supports railway transport engineering across rolling stock, signalling, and turnkey project activities.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with codes, practices, quality policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Coordinate client requirements and represent them in the field.
- Interface between TCMS and subsystems, including signalling, to ensure software deliverable quality.
- Prepare and review design documents and test specifications against customer requirements.
- Support testing and commissioning with technical information.
- Coordinate with project participants and review engineering deliverables.
- Manage requirements, factory progress, and deliverables.
- Lead internal and external technical meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 8 years in railway or metro projects.
- At least 2 years of involvement in UTO or driverless trains is desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or communications engineering is preferred.
- Experience as a project engineer or in a relevant consulting role is required.
