About the Role
A confidential company in the UAE seeks a Senior Project Engineer Mechanical with 8-12 years of experience to oversee mechanical works for construction projects.

Responsibilities
- Study/be aware of IFC drawings, conditions of contract, project specification, tender document.
- Perform design review, preparation of design calculation and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with Consultant/Client/Civil Contractors/Subcontractors/other services for timely execution of mechanical works.
- Attend technical, coordination and progress meetings at project site to achieve targets set by Client/Consultant.
- Take off actual quantities and submit to HO for timely orders.
- Responsible for issuing material request, follow up Letter of Orders in coordination with HO and delivery.
- Submit/Follow up shop drawing submittal/approval and ensure shop drawings/Materials are approved prior to site installation.
- Ensure/Monitor that installation work is as per approved shop drawings/material and approved method statement.
- Ensure/Monitor that site follows approved QA/QC procedures, Method statements and Fire/safety procedures.
- Ensure/Monitor that all site installation works are inspected and approved as outlined in PQP in coordination with QA/QC engineers.
- Monitor/follow up subcontractors work.
- Report work progress to Project manager and site planning engineer for timely submission.
Requirements
- Knowledge in technical specifications and interpretation of drawings.
- Experience in design review, preparation of design calculations and shop drawings.
- Ability to coordinate with Consultant/Client/Civil Contractors/Subcontractors/other services for timely execution of mechanical works.
- Experience in attending technical, coordination and progress meetings at project site.
- Ability to take off actual quantities and submit for timely orders.
- Experience in issuing material requests and following up on orders.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, method statements, and fire/safety procedures.
- Experience in monitoring subcontractors' work and reporting progress.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure/Monitor that the installation work is as per the approved shop drawings/material and also used the approved method statement.
- Ensure/Monitor that the site is following the approved QA/QC procedures, Method statements & the Fire/safety procedures.
- Ensure/Monitor that all the site installation works are being inspected and approved as out lined in our PQP (Project Quality Plan) in coordination with QA/QC engineers at site.
- Monitor/follow up the subcontractors work.
