You will join the Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) team who conduct dynamic missile firing simulations, utilising real missile hardware in support of; product development, performance validation and firing trial preparation.
You will have the opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art test and evaluation facility, unique within the UK. The HWIL testing utilises; real missile hardware, a missile performance model, flight motion tables [to pitch/roll/yaw the hardware] and RF / IR target generation systems [to represent target(s)]. This dynamic testing is controlled by a HWIL developed simulation which runs real-time.
This test and evaluation setup allows HWIL to conduct missile testing across many MBDA products in as close to real world scenarios as possible, exercising missile functionalities such as; in-flight performance, target detection, acquisition and homing.
