Role Description
Part-time, remote Project Engineer role supporting projects within the Systems and Biomedical Engineering Department.
The role supports medical imaging, devices, signal processing, and healthcare informatics projects in a collaborative academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering tasks.
- Develop technical specifications, review designs, and support simulation and testing.
- Prepare project documentation and coordinate with faculty, students, and external partners.
- Monitor timelines and deliverables, identify risks, and recommend technical and process improvements.
- Contribute to compliance with relevant standards and good engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills applied to biomedical and health-tech projects.
- Effective Project Management and Project Planning skills for organizing tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for collaboration with faculty, students, and external stakeholders in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time workloads remotely, and adapt to academic and research-focused environments.
