Role Overview
The role is described as a site-focused Clerk of Works overseeing construction activities and workmanship.
The position is listed as full-time and mid-level to senior.
The role coordinates with project managers, resident engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections and monitor construction workmanship.
- Verify compliance with architectural, structural, civil, and M&E drawings and specifications.
- Inspect materials and verify compliance with approved samples, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
- Identify defects and follow up on corrective and remedial works.
- Monitor schedules, progress, delays, deviations, and project risks.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Verify dimensions, levels, materials, installation methods, and completed works.
- Witness inspections and testing and maintain quality-control records.
- Maintain site diaries, inspection records, progress reports, photographs, and project documentation.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and project teams.
- Report defects, safety concerns, quality issues, delays, and deviations.
- Support quality assurance, handover, testing and commissioning, and final inspections.
