About the Role
HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking a Project Director to provide executive leadership for a major PMC project in Mecca. - Develop and oversee implementation of program/project management policies, procedures, methodologies, and best practices
- Assess capacity and capability needs for successful PMC delivery and recommend improvements
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and direction to the PMC team across all disciplines
- Oversee development, configuration, and deployment of Program Management Information Systems (PMIS)
- Ensure robust project controls in place, including cost, schedule, risk, and quality systems
- Lead regular project review meetings to monitor performance, identify issues, and drive corrective actions
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly project status reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate EPC contractor performance to ensure compliance with approved execution plans, procedures, and contract requirements
- Ensure approved, comprehensive list of project deliverables is established and maintained
- Monitor deliverable issuance to ensure timely submission, multidisciplinary review, and prompt return of comments
- Verify that EPC contractor's plans and procedures are adequate and effectively support project delivery
- Manage communication and coordination between client, EPC contractor, consultants, and PMC teams
Requirements
- MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) highly preferred
- 25 years of experience in large scale construction and development projects
- Solid background working within PMC environments
- Proven experience in high rise building, commercial buildings, mosques, parking structures, roads and highways, infrastructure, mixed use developments
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Deep understanding of project controls, PMIS, and international standards
- Proven ability to manage EPC contractors on complex, multidisciplinary projects

Role Summary
- The Project Director will provide executive leadership for the end‑to‑end delivery of a major project under a PMC model.
- This role oversees program and project management governance, directs multidisciplinary teams, ensures EPC contractor compliance, and drives project performance across all phases.
- The Project Director will establish and implement project management policies, procedures, and systems while maintaining rigorous oversight of schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and risk.
- This position is responsible for ensuring that all deliverables meet the project objectives and international best‑practice standards.
