About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for large-scale automation and robotics projects , ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, and project governance.
• Oversee project planning, execution, budgets, forecasts, schedules, resources, risks, and performance, taking corrective action when required.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, programming, production, purchasing, commissioning, sales, and other functions through matrix management.
• Act as a senior point of contact for customers, executives, and internal teams, managing expectations, resolving escalated issues, negotiating solutions, and building strong long-term relationships.
• Provide strategic direction on complex technical, operational, commercial, and project challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee major project deliverables, including design, programming, specifications, assembly, commissioning, and technical documentation , ensuring quality and compliance with requirements.
• Monitor project profitability and performance, presenting forecasts, progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution and develop additional business with existing customers while supporting the growth and development of Systemex’s project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive project management experience , including significant experience leading large, complex technical projects; automation, robotics, engineering, or industrial experience is highly valued.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects , with strong financial, commercial, risk, schedule, and resource management capabilities.
• Strong executive presence with excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented, with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
