As a Project Director at IEF , you will be accountable to serve as the senior leader responsible for the successful delivery of complex façade projects from award through closeout.
The Project Director provides strategic direction, drives client relationships, oversees multidisciplinary teams, and ensures alignment across design, engineering, fabrication, logistics, and field installation.
Lead overall project strategy and execution, including work plans, schedules, budgets, and resource alignment from award through closeout. Serve as the senior client, architect, and GC liaison, ensuring clear communication, expectation alignment, and issue resolution. Direct multidisciplinary internal teams across PM, Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Field Operations to meet project objectives. Manage contract requirements, including scope control, risk mitigation, commercial documentation, and claims strategy. Review and approve key technical milestones, ensuring alignment between façade design intent, engineering deliverables, fabrication, and installation. Resolve complex field and coordination issues, providing final decisions on installation methods and interface details. Own project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, cash flow management, and reporting. Lead change order strategy and negotiation, validating impacts and ensuring commercial alignment. Champion safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring adherence to company standards, codes, and site requirements. Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, turnover documentation, and warranty processes. Authorities: Approve project budgets, forecasts, and major financial commitments within delegated thresholds. Authorize change orders, commercial strategies, and contractual responses to protect project and company interests. Make final decisions on technical coordination, installation methodologies, and field conflict resolutions. · Set priorities and delegate responsibilities across internal project teams and external partners. · Represent the company in high-level negotiations with clients, architects, consultants, and general contractors Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. 10+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on facades or curtain wall systems. Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Strong understanding of design-assist processes, fabrication workflows, and building envelope systems.
