Project Cost Controller
Manage project costs, ensure financial transparency, and support the project management team in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, and reports
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary limits
- Analyze cost variances, identify trends, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project performance and financial health
- Prepare regular cost reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of change orders and claims, ensuring proper documentation and justification
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of project costs and financial processes
- Support project teams in understanding financial metrics and implications on project delivery
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management within the construction or engineering industry
- Proven track record of managing project budgets and cost forecasting
