The opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Engineering and Procurement the will be responsible for coordinating of all procured equipment packages, associated documentation, reporting, and administration for the P2000 Expansion Project which is a proposed brownfield expansion by PLS Group at its 100% owned Pilgangoora Operation in Western Australia, aiming to boost spodumene concentrate production capacity to approximately 2.0 million tonnes per annum.

This role includes liaising with internal delivery team disciplines and external suppliers to ensure procured documentation, equipment, and materials are tracked, recorded, transported, and delivered in accordance with contracted delivery schedules. The position will also support the department with general administrative duties as required, including maintaining registers, coordinating information flow, preparing reports, and assisting with project documentation and records management.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our West Perth office, conveniently located near the City West train station.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively expedite equipment and materials according to agreed procurement plans and associated expediting level.
  • Conduct Supplier visits and coordinate equipment inspections according to contract milestones and inspection test plans.
  • Keep Area Manager, Delivery Lead, Package Engineers, Cost Controllers, Construction Manager, and other project personnel informed of equipment and material delivery status and potential risk to delivery, developing and implementing plans and contingencies to meet project schedules.
  • Maintain the Project Expediting Status Report
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement and project delivery team, including maintaining registers, trackers, correspondence records, meeting notes, action lists, and filing systems.
  • Expedite Vendor documents ensuring timely submission and internal review.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting, collation, and distribution of expediting updates, procurement reports, transmittals, and other project documentation as required.
  • Recommend improvements in expediting, inspection, and materials management activities.
  • Attendance at project related meetings, as directed, to represent the expediting function.
  • Maintain strong supplier and Project team relationships.
  • Work cohesively within a procurement delivery team to ensure project schedule requirements are met.
  • Complete general departmental administration tasks as required, including data entry, document control support, meeting coordination, action tracking, and follow-up of outstanding information.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Project expediting workflow practices to improve, quality, cost, efficiency and / or conveying of information to areas of the business as applicable, to enhance the delivery of Projects to schedule.

About you

2-5-years’ experience in Major projects within the resources industry in any capacity

A sound working knowledge of procurement and business processes, out-of-the-box thinking and initiative, ability to work unsupervised

Strong, assertive communication skills and ability to work with Engineers, Commercial Representatives and Vendors.

Personality is key as you are required to work with External and Internal stakeholders on a regular basis via email, phone and in person.

Strong administration, document control, reporting, record keeping, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up outstanding actions.

Positive can-do attitude.

Proficiency in MS Office to develop automated and user-friendly reports
