The School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society (EGIS) at Heriot-Watt University is leading the Innovate UK funded project, Developing AI professional capability in the construction workforce through graduate apprenticeships .
The project responds to the growing need for applied artificial intelligence capabilities across Scotland’s construction and built-environment workforce. It will build upon Heriot-Watt University’s existing BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment Graduate Apprenticeship programme, combining academic learning with employer-based implementation activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Lead and Industry Lead partners to support with the coordination and promotion of knowledge exchange and co-creation activities during the project.
A central part of the role will be engagement with employers and wider industry stakeholders. The postholder will coordinate the project’s Industry Stakeholder Steering Group and support employer consultations, curriculum co-design activities, workshops, dissemination events and other knowledge-exchange activities. The postholder will also assist with monitoring and evaluating project outcomes. This will include collating evidence relating to curriculum co-design, employer engagement, learner participation, workplace AI projects, and sector dissemination.

A degree in business, project management or another relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
