Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Handle general cargo and project shipments, including operational, technical, cost-control, and profitability responsibilities.
• Act as a contact for clients, partners, and other offices regarding project operations issues.
• Ship general, out-of-gauge, and heavy-lift cargo across international routes.
• Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors and source competitive rates.
• Calculate and monitor project profits.
• Support sales with client offers and proposals.
• Provide administration and daily business support in a global environment.
• Support local and regional management with reporting.

Skills and expertise

• Complete training in freight forwarding and have experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Demonstrate successful logistics operations, coordination, and management experience.
• Have knowledge of freight forwarding; ocean freight and break-bulk experience is advantageous.
• Be familiar with software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Have good organization, customer focus, attention to detail, and strong cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
