Join WSP's Buildings team as a Project Controls Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the successful delivery of projects that shape our communities.
This role is designed for a student seeking practical exposure to project controls, cost management, and project delivery within a collaborative consulting environment.
You'll work alongside experienced project managers and project controls professionals while contributing to meaningful project and business support activities.
Position Purpose
Expand team capacity for proposal development, project reporting, and project controls support activities while providing a valuable learning opportunity for a student to contribute, develop technical and business skills, and gain practical experience within Project Management and Project Controls.
Your Impact
- Contribute to proposal development by helping compile project information, resumes, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Help maintain project records, financial data, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze project data and assist in identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers and project controls professionals to support project delivery and client requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to project planning, scheduling, and financial controls.
- Develop practical knowledge of project management and project controls processes within a multidisciplinary Buildings environment.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in project controls, project delivery, and the built environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally through practical work experience.
Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $24.80 – $32.65 per hour MB & ON: $23.20 – $30.55 per hour Atlantic Provinces & QC: $22.20 – $30.55 per hour
