Project Controls Engineer

Role Overview

Reporting and Data Management

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including closeout, demobilization, and preservation reports.
• Collect, organize, and maintain cost, schedule, and progress data across contracts.
• Update cost and schedule trackers and prepare S-curves, charts, and presentation materials.
• Reconcile SAP, Oracle Unifier, and Primavera P6 records and manage reporting calendars.

Analysis and Controls

• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on changes.
• Assist with schedule and cost substantiation records for claims and disputes.
• Complete ad hoc analysis and reporting for the Project Controls Manager.
• Apply document control, confidentiality, and data quality standards to all work products.
• Follow up with project teams and stakeholders for inputs and evidence and maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project controls experience is required, preferably on construction or major capital projects.
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP, and Oracle Unifier is preferred.
• Experience with Power BI, Aconex, SharePoint, and OneDrive is an asset.
• Practical cost, schedule, and data analysis reporting experience is essential.
• PMP or a comparable credential is desirable.
• Owner, IPMT, PMC, consultant, or contractor experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to report to executives are required.
• The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively is required.
