Project Civil Engineer

NCE has immediate openings for Project Civil Engineers ready to join the talented and diverse infrastructure group in Northern Nevada. Engineers at this level support, coordinate, and manage projects of varying size and complexity.

More specifically, you would:

• Prepare and generate plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates (PS&E).
• Review field reports prepared by staff specialists.
• Provide guidance to office and field personnel.
• Organize field work and assign tasks to staff specialists.
• Assemble, review, and evaluate complex data. Integrate data evaluations prepared by staff specialists into projects.
• Contact vendors.
• Work with internal and external clients.
• Research regulatory requirements, design guidelines, local, state and federal standards, and other relevant literature.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 3-10 years of professional civil engineering experience
• Nevada Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain reciprocity within the first 6 months of employment.
