Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development and implementation of plans and project initiatives to ensure PMO operational needs are met.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project action plans; maintain project schedules, time and cost objectives and report regularly on progress.
  • Analyze potential risks and assist with the development of risk management recommendations.
  • Monitor and prioritize activities; provide administrative services to project teams.
  • Analyze data and identify opportunities for project related issue resolution.
  • Support the planning of project budgets, recommend allocation of financial resources, and produce monthly financial forecasts.
  • Attend project meetings and represent Corporate Operations on interdepartmental activities.
  • Provide advice and guidance in the development of plans and project specifications to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, review and maintain project documentation such as reports, presentation decks, briefings, and position papers.
  • Incorporate quality standards into project deliverables and suggest changes for standardization and improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Project management experience in an aerospace related environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience in new aerospace certification programs is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with managing multiple projects in a fast paced work environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of theories, principles and practices of project management, financial, contracting, research, and data gathering.
  • Thorough technical knowledge on project management technical tools.
  • Excellent ability to communicate a strategy using PowerPoint and to work with Excel and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent project management, communication, organizational, customer service and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Candidate must be self motivated, autonomous and enthusiastic, and willing to travel.
