- Monitor and report on design performance to design programme and cost, liaise with Engineer.
- Manage the resolution of variance reports relating to scheduling and cost reporting.
- Provide guidance and advice to the senior management team on planning issues.
- Assist in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation.
- Assist in establishing/delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and Project.
- Prepare risk assessment and mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 20 years overall post graduate experience as Project Controls lead for planning projects of deep tunnel and pumping station
- At least 12 years’ experience working as part of a Project Management Consultants (PMC) organization for delivering large multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes
- Professionally qualified in PMP / MRICS or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken

Overview
- The Programme Lead (Senior Planning Engineer) is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting project schedules to ensure the successful delivery of projects in accordance with approved timelines, budgets, and contractual requirements.
- Working within the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, the role provides planning and scheduling expertise throughout all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover.
- The Senior Planning Engineer will analyze project performance, identify schedule risks and delays, evaluate recovery strategies, and provide management with accurate progress reporting and forecasting to support informed decision making and successful project execution.

- Review schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management.

- Manage all programme control aspects for the Consultant for the monthly reports to the Engineer.
- Monitor and report on design performance to design programme and cost liaise with Engineer to allow Design Project and Design Programmes to be incorporated into the Project and Programme Master Programmes

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- Minimum of 20 years overall post graduate experience Project Controls lead for planning projects of deep tunnel and pumping station. Extensive experience of marine projects preferred.
- At least 12 years’ experience working as part of a Project Management Consultants (PMC) organization or similar for delivering large multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes.
- Professionally qualified in PMP / MRICS or equivalent.
