Role Overview
ALTEN is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead delivery of a major spacecraft mission in the space sector.
The role oversees programme execution from early design through integration, testing, and final mission readiness.
Location and Work Pattern
- The role is based in London and requires on-site attendance one to two times per month.
- The posting describes a flexible way of working depending on the role.
Programme Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery for a complex spacecraft mission while meeting technical, schedule, delivery, and customer objectives.
- Own schedules, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, budgets, resources, and programme reporting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary systems, electrical, mechanical, RF, software, payload, and AIT engineering teams.
- Identify programme-level risks and implement mitigation strategies with engineering leads.
Reviews and Governance
- Lead SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR reviews and ensure deliverable readiness, completeness, and quality.
- Ensure programme activities comply with high-reliability space standards, quality requirements, and mission constraints.
