R esponsible for improving manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, and cost through process optimization, technical problem solving, and continuous improvement. This position provides day-to-day production support while leading cross-functional projects involving new equipment, process development, manufacturing scale-up, and operational excellence.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Work is performed in office, chemical laboratory, and catalyst manufacturing environments
Plan and communicate production activities to maintain continuous coating operations
Create and maintain chemical batch sheets for catalyst coating operations
Troubleshoot processes , conduct root cause analysis , and initiate corrective actions
Publish , review, and update standard operating procedures and oversee operator training
Maintain manufacturing records , process documentation, and process control charts
Analyze production and quality data to identify process improvement opportunities
Collaborate with Product and Process Development to implement new catalyst manufacturing processes
Lead e quipment specification, installation , commissioning, and maintenance programs
Maintain manufacturing master data including bills of materials, routings, production orders, and inventory transactions within the ERP system
Support plant Environmental, Health & Safety programs by maintaining SDS records , promoting safe operating practices, and overseeing environmental permitting
Manage precious metal and chemical planning and forecasting
Evaluate new suppliers by reviewing/developing material specifications and conduct ing new material validation testing

Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment (5+ years)
Experience preparing process flow sheets, energy and mass balances, piping and instrumentation diagrams, cost estimates , and other engineering calculations
Hands-on experience with basic chemical production equipment including tanks, pumps, mixers , etc.
Experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred)
Experience with ERP systems
Ability to lift 60 pounds .
