Role Overview
Flex-O-Glass is a plastics manufacturer producing films, sheet, and profile products.
The Production Manager supports manufacturing operations across the Chicago facility and works with production staff.
Schedule
- The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed to meet business needs.
Workplace
- This role is based at the company's Chicago, Illinois facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production lines operate at proper speeds and output levels while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Oversee production supervisors, crews, and janitorial staff.
- Maintain safe and efficient machine operating conditions.
- Manage plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
- Manage raw material receiving and report concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Coordinate production schedules and completion estimates based on manpower and equipment availability.
- Troubleshoot and maintain machine functionality.
