Position Summary
Support verification and validation of hardware, firmware, and software products throughout the product development lifecycle.
Translate product requirements into structured verification activities and help build a scalable regression testing strategy.
Requirements Analysis and Verification
- Review product, system, and regulatory requirements to ensure they are clear, testable, and traceable.
- Develop verification strategies demonstrating compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain traceability among requirements, test cases, defects, and verification results.
- Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback on testability and risk.
Test Planning and Development
- Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test cases for hardware, firmware, and software products.
- Ensure functional, integration, system, performance, and regulatory test coverage.
- Identify regression testing and automation opportunities and transition suitable manual tests with automation engineers.
Product Verification and Validation
- Execute manual verification and validation testing and document pass/fail assessments against requirements.
- Investigate, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Support regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing.
- Verify fixes and perform impact assessments for product changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate testing with automation engineers, manual testers, and test technicians.
- Support laboratory and regulatory testing requiring specialized equipment or technical expertise.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product issues and improve quality.
- Provide project stakeholders with status updates and test coverage metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, verification and validation, systems testing, or product testing.
- Experience developing test plans, procedures, and cases from product requirements.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware testing methodologies.
- Experience executing structured manual testing activities.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
- Experience documenting and managing software and hardware defects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with requirements management and traceability practices.
- Experience using Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts and regression testing strategies.
- Experience testing embedded systems, connected devices, firmware, or electronic products.
Compensation and Benefits
- The U.S. base salary range is $80,000-$100,000 per year.
- Full-time employees are eligible for health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
- Full-time employees may participate in the 401(k) plan and paid time off and sick leave programs, subject to plan terms and applicable policies.
