- Take ownership and responsibility for the product backlog, ensuring features and improvements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
- Translate business processes and operational workflows into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate product direction, and refine solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning to ensure efficient product delivery.
- Ensure product features are delivered with clearly defined requirements, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder alignment.
- Support the rollout of new tools, processes, and product features by working with business teams to drive adoption and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other IT product teams and business units to manage cross team dependencies and ensure solutions integrate effectively within Air Canada's technology ecosystem.
- Create Business requirements documents and formalize business cases for IT intake.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or digital product delivery.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
- Experience working with Agile development teams and managing product backlogs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in a fast paced environment.
- Experience working with complex stakeholder environments and balancing competing priorities across multiple business groups.
- Experience working with internal enterprise tools or operational systems is an asset.
- Airline or travel industry experience is considered a plus.
